Katie was born and raised in Miami. She earned her Bachelors degree from Boston College and Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from Florida International University.
She is currently an occupational therapist supporting neurodivergent individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
She is currently the co-lead for the Miami chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. She was also involved with the “Yes on 4” campaign and continues to be passionate about reproductive rights. She lives in Coral Gables with husband Austin and two daughters Cora, five, and Noa, three.
