Stephanie is a native of Miami with New York roots and a strong connection to her Greek heritage. She approaches her projects and causes with creativity and heart — what the Greeks call “meraki.” She is a passionate and committed advocate for democracy and seasoned philanthropist. Stephanie serves on the Foundation Alumni Board of Miami Dade College and the Foundation Board for New World School of the Arts, contributing her marketing expertise and network to support their missions.
She is also a dedicated supporter of organizations such as SAVE, Equality Florida, and NAMI, and has long volunteered for Democratic candidates and ballot amendments. In March 2025, Stephanie joined the Coral Gables Democrats board of directors.
Professionally, Stephanie is recognized for her expertise in the U.S. multicultural media market, having led major sales teams as VP Director of Sales at Univision 23 and General Sales Manager at Hot 105 FM. In 2017, she launched Skala Connections, her own firm focused on multicultural marketing and advertising. The agency is a certified Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and a proud member of MDGLCC and NGLCC.
Stephanie has a natural gift for building connections and partnerships, a talent that defines her leadership style and community work. She lives in Coral Gables with her wife, Emilce, with whom she has shared over 25 years. Together they raised their two children, Eleni and Nicholas. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, reading, travel, film and theater.
